Sri Kaliswari College is one of the top notch colleges in TamilNadu. Affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, academics at SKC is focused on the multi-faceted growth and holistic development of students.

As the Principal, it is my beholden duty to bring about an environment of mutual learning, where the student and the teacher walk hand in hand in the student’s educational journey. To this end, all of our Undergraduate, and Postgraduate Programmes, as well as our certificate courses have been designed to instill the requisite applied transferable skills in parallel to the subject knowledge being taught. The focused teaching methodologies and strategies employed by faculty help students to emerge as multifaceted personalities in this digital era.

It is for this reason that students from across the country have chosen SKC as their home of education. Our courses in biotechnology combine teaching, facilitation, research, experimentation, and application to produce graduates who are a cut above the rest. This is just one example of the overall scenario of the education at SKC.

It is my special privilege to lead my family of faculty members in honing, channelising and shaping the inherent talents and capabilities of each of the students at SKC. We as a whole, feel proud of all of our students and alumni, who are now part of a vibrant intellectual community that shares knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to elevate one another.

(Dr P K Balamurugan is one of the leading academicians of southern Tamil Nadu, and the present principal of Sri Kaliswari College. Despite his erudition, he is hands-on in every aspect of education and administration, and can be approached by student and teacher alike.
