Sri Kaliswari College was started in the year 2000 to cater to the rising demands of a rural sector for higher education. Sri Kaliswari College, comprising a team of munificent philanthropists endowed with wisdom and foresight, embarked on launching an ideal college of Arts and Science in 2000 A.D to impart value based higher education to the students’ community and to mould them to be fit for the next millennium. The Hall Marks of this Institution are Discipline and Academic Excellence. The College continues its march with relentless vigour, to impart quality education to the rural youth, in tune to its mission and vision. SKC stands as a dynamic testimony for its industrious perseverance, meritorious achievements and devoted service towards the cause of higher education.

Sri Kaliswari Trust Members were the founder architects and stalwarts of this edifice of learning. They chalked out a programme for the dawn of higher education and intellectual upliftment of rural students in and around Sivakasi by generating the “Kaliswari Trust”. It was their vision to liberate the rural students from their socio, economic and cultural constraints by intellectually equipping them to confront the challenges of everyday life. Under the headship of the esteemed Chairman, A.N.Shenbagamoorthy, the present Management Committee continues to liberally finance, monitor and endorse every step, initiated by this prestigious institution
